We recently had the pleasure of collaborating with interior designer, Maddy Minerva, on a truly special home renovation. Known for her ability to create spaces that feel warm, welcoming, and timeless, Maddy blends English charm with modern elegance in a way that feels completely effortless.
We caught up with Maddy to hear more about her personal style, what inspires her, and why Croft was the perfect finishing touch for her own home.
Beginning with her entrance door, Maddy selected the Engraved letter plate, the Camber centre doorknob, and the Old Doctor’s knocker, all in an Aged Brass finish. These carefully chosen details set the tone from the front of the property, hinting at the layered charm that runs throughout the home.
Maddy is known for her instantly recognisable interiors and thoughtful layering, we asked Maddy how she describes her interior design style,
‘My style combines English comfort with a modern sensibility. It blends the classic warmth and charm of English interiors with a fresh, contemporary approach, ensuring that spaces feel both timeless, and relevant.’
Across her selected Croft pieces, Maddy chose the Aged Brass finish to create a cohesive thread throughout the home. With its rich, hand-finished patina and subtle warmth, Aged Brass offers the perfect balance of tradition and understated luxury.

Throughout the home, Maddy incorporated a considered selection of Croft pieces that tied the spaces together with quiet elegance. From functional elements like the Oval turn and release in the bathrooms, to cabinet handles, and hat and coat hooks in the hallway, each detail was carefully chosen to complement the home’s character. The consistent use of Aged Brass across these fittings added warmth and cohesion, reinforcing the layered, timeless feel she set out to achieve.
‘I absolutely love that each piece is aged by hand’, she shared. ‘It’s a living finish that develops a unique character over time—adding depth, charm, and a sense of history to the space.’
Maddy's work strikes a beautiful balance between old and new, we asked Maddy, where do you find your inspiration?
‘Inspiration tends to come from a variety of places: personal experiences, travel, and a deep appreciation for history and craftsmanship,’ she tells us. ‘I’m often exploring antique shops and auction houses. I love layering in unique finds to give each project a sense of soul.’

That balance of old and new is something Maddy achieves not just through architecture and furnishings, but right down to the hardware.
With our extensive collection of products and finishes, Maddy was able to find pieces that felt perfectly in tune with the character of her home.
Maddy's interiors are a reflection of layered, characterful, and thoughtfully considered design, we asked Maddy, what was your vision for your own home?
‘The inspiration was really about creating a space that felt both timeless and personal,’ Maddy explains. ‘The house was a complete gut renovation, so I had the chance to reconfigure everything to better suit our family. I brought back in traditional architectural features that had been stripped away over the years and balanced them with modern comforts. As with most of our projects, it was important that the house felt inviting and truly lived-in—not just a beautifully designed show home’.

At the heart of Croft is a deep-rooted commitment to British craftsmanship and a proud family heritage that spans decades. Croft products are crafted with care, precision, and a genuine passion for quality.
Our commitment to excellence is what first drew Maddy to Croft.
‘Croft's rich heritage, unparalleled attention to detail and commitment to British craftsmanship make them the ideal choice in my opinion. We specify Croft products for lots of our projects and they’re always our go-to.’
Looking ahead, Maddy is already thinking about what’s next, and Croft remains firmly on her radar.
‘For my next personal project, I’d love to use a dark Bronze finish, possibly unlacquered, to enjoy the natural ageing process again,’ she says. ‘Of course, it’ll depend on the style of house, but luckily Croft offers so much choice when that time comes.’
