Mortimer Street: Bespoke Details for a Considered Interior
15th July 2025

The recent restoration of 93 Mortimer Street by Robson Warren Architects, aimed to preserve its historical essence, while adapting it for contemporary use and incorporating modern sustainability features. The design intent focused on longevity and craftsmanship; each decision made with care to create a cohesive interior that balanced contemporary styling with a warm, timeless feel.
Working closely with 3V Architectural hardware, the Brooklands design from Croft was selected for its distinctive profile, clean geometry and softened edges, a natural fit for the interior’s contemporary aesthetic.
To suit the style and requirements of the property, the Brooklands pull handle was reimagined in a larger format with an added plate to suit internal doors. This tailored approach ensured the hardware delivered the right sense of proportion and functionality, without compromising the integrity of the original design.
The handle was finished in Light Antique Brass, a choice that adds warmth and subtle character to the building. Featuring a gently aged patina, Light Antique Brass enriches its surroundings and will continue to patina over time, adding further character to the hardware.

The soft, muted tones of Light Antique Brass complement the neutral palette of the space, enhancing the overall sense of understated luxury without drawing undue attention. It’s a finish that balances aesthetic appeal with longevity, perfectly aligned with the project’s ethos of enduring quality.
Additionally, the pull handle was also specified in Satin Nickel, a plated finish with a soft, brushed texture and a gentle, dimensional quality. As a warmer-toned alternative to traditional silver finishes, Satin Nickel brings a refined modern character to the space.
This project exemplifies how bespoke hardware can elevate a space, not by standing out, but by effortlessly fitting in.
